Introduction

The oversized cylinder was replaced with a correctly sized 1 Star TS007 anti-snap euro cylinder.

The new cylinder sat neatly within the handles, reducing its exposure and significantly improving protection against lock snapping while also providing resistance to other common methods of attack.

The lock was supplied with five new keys. The customer had originally requested four, but because the cylinder was supplied with five as standard, they received an additional spare key at no extra cost.

Why the Correct Cylinder Size Matters

A surprising number of doors are fitted with cylinders that are either too long or too short.

A correctly fitted cylinder should sit as close to flush with the handle as possible. This not only gives the door a neater appearance but also helps protect the cylinder from attack.
