Fixed-Price Locksmith Services

We operate on a fixed-price basis, meaning the price quoted is the price you pay. We do not charge by the hour, and there are no call-out fees.

Our quoted prices include parts, labour and any return visits required to complete the agreed repair. If a replacement component needs to be ordered and fitted on a subsequent visit, the original quoted price remains unchanged.

A.L.S. Locksmiths is not VAT registered, so there is no VAT added to our quoted prices.

Whether you need a lock change, a jammed door repaired, a faulty multipoint locking mechanism replaced or a UPVC door realigned, we aim to provide a clear price before proceeding with the work.

12-Month Guarantee on Parts

We provide a 12-month guarantee on parts supplied and fitted by A.L.S. Locksmiths. If a replacement lock or component develops a fault covered by the guarantee during this period, we will replace the defective part free of charge.

The guarantee covers the faulty component rather than providing a refund for the original repair. Our aim is to deliver a lasting solution and resolve covered faults by replacing defective parts where necessary.

When Does the Guarantee Apply?

To help ensure your lock continues to operate correctly, we recommend using properly cut keys and avoiding unnecessary interference with the locking mechanism.

The guarantee may not apply where a fault results from poorly cut or non-standard keys, damage caused by cheap key copies, third-party interference, misuse, neglect or accidental damage. Work carried out by another locksmith or contractor on the repaired lock or door may also affect guarantee cover.

If a problem develops during the guarantee period, please contact A.L.S. Locksmiths first and allow us the opportunity to inspect the fault and carry out any necessary remedial work before instructing another contractor.

No Call-Out Fees or Cancellation Charges

We do not charge call-out fees, and we do not impose cancellation fees where reasonable notice is provided.

We believe in keeping our service straightforward, so you can discuss your locksmith requirements without worrying about unexpected call-out costs.

Non-Destructive Entry and Repair

Where possible, we always aim to gain entry and repair locks using non-destructive techniques. However, not every situation allows this approach.

A seized lock, failed gearbox, damaged cylinder or faulty locking mechanism may require drilling, snapping or other specialist methods to gain access or remove defective components.

Where destructive entry or removal is necessary, damage to the lock, cylinder, door furniture or related components may occur as part of the process. We take reasonable care throughout the work and aim to minimise damage wherever possible.

Older doors, worn mechanisms, damaged frames and previously defective hardware can present additional challenges. We assess each situation individually and explain the available options as clearly as possible.

Payment Terms

Payment is due immediately upon completion of the agreed work.

We accept cash and card payments, including Chip and PIN. We do not offer credit facilities, and other payment methods must be agreed in advance.
