Pricing and Quotes

A.L.S. Locksmiths operates on a fixed-price basis.

The price quoted is the price you pay. We do not charge hourly rates, and if a part has to be ordered and fitted on a return visit, the original quoted price remains unchanged.

Our fixed prices include:

• Parts
• Labour
• Return visits required to complete the repair

We are not VAT registered, so there is no VAT to add to the quoted price.

We do not charge call-out fees.

12 Month Parts Guarantee

We provide a 12-month guarantee on parts supplied and fitted by A.L.S. Locksmiths.

If a lock or replacement part fitted by us develops a fault within the guarantee period, we will replace the defective part free of charge.

Our guarantee covers the replacement of the faulty component only. We do not offer refunds as repairs are carried out with the intention of providing a long-lasting solution.

Guarantee Exclusions

The guarantee may become invalid if:

• Non-standard or poorly cut keys are used.
• Cheap copied keys cause damage to the lock.
• The lock, mechanism, or door furniture has been tampered with by a third party.
• Another locksmith or contractor has carried out work on the lock or door after our repair.
• Damage has occurred through misuse, neglect, or accidental damage.

If a fault develops during the guarantee period, A.L.S. Locksmiths must be given the opportunity to inspect and rectify the issue before any third-party contractor is instructed.

Cancellation and Call-Out Charges

We do not charge call-out fees.

There are no cancellation fees provided reasonable notice is given.

Non-Destructive Entry and Damage Disclaimer

Where possible, we always aim to use non-destructive methods to gain entry to properties and repair locks.

However, some situations require drilling, snapping, or other specialist techniques in order to gain access or remove faulty components.

Where destructive methods are necessary, the customer accepts that damage to locks, cylinders, door furniture, or related components may occur as part of the repair process.

Reasonable Care

A.L.S. Locksmiths takes reasonable care when carrying out all work.

Whilst every effort is made to minimise damage during repairs and entry procedures, we cannot accept liability for accidental damage that may occur while carrying out necessary locksmith work on ageing, worn, defective, or previously damaged doors, locks, frames, windows, or associated hardware.

Payment Terms

We accept payment by:

• Cash
• Card
• Chip and PIN

Payment is due immediately upon completion of the work.

We do not offer credit facilities and no other payment methods are accepted unless agreed in advance.
