A surface mounted rim type lock married with an anti snap cylinder and finished off with a brass escutcheon so that it blends in with the rest of the furniture in this particular house.

I fitted the lock so that the bolt will slide into the frame and not the recess of the door so that the double throw is obscured so that it could not be gotten to by a saw blade or grinding disc.

Because the cylinder is anti snap the lock cannot be snapped and the door opened with ease,

This then makes it nessessary to have the key otherwise entry would not be possible.
